Data & Security Overview
CBLUE Chart is designed with a minimal data footprint and session-based architecture to reduce long-term data exposure risk while supporting structured documentation workflows.
Platform Purpose
CBLUE Chart is a structured narrative drafting platform designed for EMS and Healthcare professionals and academic programs. It is not an electronic patient care reporting (ePCR) system and does not function as a medical record storage system.
Authentication & Access Control
- • Email-based One-Time Passcode (OTP) authentication
- • No passwords are stored
- • Access requires either an active subscription or verified academic enrollment
- • Access is denied when subscription or enrollment ends
Data Storage Model
CBLUE Chart uses a non-persistent session architecture. Narrative sessions are temporary and automatically clear when a session ends. No patient or incident data is stored within the platform. Final documentation is transferred by the user into their official reporting system.
Personal Information Collected
- • Email address
- • Role designation (EMS or Healthcare)
- • Subscription or institutional access status
Academic versions store student email addresses for roster verification but do not store grades, evaluations, or academic performance data.
Payment & Billing Security
All billing and payment processing is securely handled through Shopify's PCI-compliant infrastructure. CBLUE Chart does not store credit card or payment information.
HIPAA & PHI Considerations
CBLUE Chart does not store Protected Health Information (PHI). Narrative content exists only within an active drafting session and automatically clears when the session ends. Because the platform does not maintain patient records, long-term PHI exposure risk is minimized.
